We had our last Field Trip of the season this past weekend — a visit to The Brooklyn Art Library to see the finished Sketchbooks the girls created back in December.

After, we headed to Milk Bar Williamsburg for a super-special guided tour of the 11,000-square-foot baking facility — they make 6,000 cookies a day! not to mention pies, cakes, cereal milk, and pork buns a go-go! — led by fabulous pastry chef Christina Tosi. Continue reading

Spring fever has brought on bookmaking – I’m not completely sure how this has come about, but it is definitely the theme for the month! We offered a bookmaking workshop at our workspace; I’m heading to Boston tomorrow to make accordion box books with a group at The Public Library of Brookline, and in April it’s Matchbox Haiku at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden’s Sakura Matsuri Cherry Blossom Festival!
