Lab Science

In Lab Science, girls become science sleuths, exploring natural phenomena and every day events. Does your daughter turn your kitchen into her personal lab? Is the science experiment book her favorite book on the shelf? Does she dream of inventing ways to make things fizz, pop, refract or defy the laws of gravity?

This theme is for girls who love to explore, investigate and experiment in science. Our instructor puts your experimentation skills to test! We make our laboratory indoors and out. We investigate electricity, chemistry, light, sound, energy and more. The day is filled with experiments of all kinds – and all girls participate in each one. There is no sitting-and-watching; there is only doing!

Our goal is for girls to experiment in science intensively and freely, without worrying about a right answer. Science surrounds us, and understanding this is the basis of enjoying it. Favorite projects include diaper dissections like the one pictured below (gels), magic balloons (chemical reaction), slime (non-Newtonian fluids), bacteria, cabbage juice litmus tests (acids and bases), and rainbow lenses (the light spectrum). At the end of the week, they present their favorite experiments in their science exhibition!
