Life Science
Do you have a budding botanist on your hands? In Life Science, girls are introduced to key principles in the life and growth of plants, animals and humans. They utilize the scientific method through experimentation and observation, and record their findings in their own lab notebooks.
During this class, girls learn about concepts in Life Science like cell structure, DNA, food webs, nutrition and photosynthesis through hands-on experiments and projects. We create Jello salad cells, observe behavior of small animals, view cells under microscopes, learn about bacteria and more in this exploration of biology!
Our goal is for girls to experiment in science intensively and freely, without worrying about a right answer. Science surrounds us, and understanding this is the basis of enjoying it. At the end of the week, they present their favorite experiments for students in a science exhibition.
